Change of mind

We'll happily exchange or refund most items within 30 days of purchase, provided they're unused, unwashed, and in original condition with tags and packaging intact.

  • Proof of purchase required (receipt, order confirmation, or card statement)
  • Original packaging and any included accessories must be included
  • Refunds are issued to the original payment method
Not eligible for change-of-mind return: ridden or fitted bicycles, cut or installed cabling and hoses, opened nutrition and hygiene products, and custom or special-order parts.

Bicycles

New bikes may be exchanged or refunded within 14 days if unridden, with pedals, tags, and protective packaging still in place. Once a bike has left the store assembled and ridden, it's covered by warranty rather than change-of-mind return — this is a safety and hygiene standard across the industry, not just ours.

A restocking fee of up to 15% may apply to full assembly and setup already carried out on a returned bike.

Faulty or incorrect items

Under Australian Consumer Law, you're entitled to a repair, replacement, or refund if an item has a major fault, doesn't match its description, or isn't fit for its intended purpose — regardless of the 30-day window above. Minor faults may be repaired within a reasonable time.

This applies to bicycles, components, and accessories alike. Bring the item in with proof of purchase and we'll assess it on the spot or send it to the relevant brand for warranty review.

Online orders & shipping costs

Online orders can be returned to Giant Canning Vale in person, or posted back to us. For change-of-mind returns, you're responsible for the cost of shipping the item back to us, and original delivery charges on the order are non-refundable — this is standard practice and consistent with the Australian Consumer Law, which doesn't require a retailer to cover return freight or refund delivery fees when a customer simply changes their mind.

We recommend using a tracked service for change-of-mind returns, as we aren't responsible for items lost or damaged in transit before they reach us.

Faulty items are different: if gear is genuinely faulty, we cover reasonable shipping both ways — getting it back to us, and sending your replacement or repaired item back out — in line with our ACL obligations. Pay postage upfront to return it, and we'll reimburse that cost once the fault is confirmed.

Bikes are sold and fitted in-store only and aren't shipped, so this section covers gear and accessories.

The Schwalbe Clik Valve SV conversion kit with pump head adapter. The Schwalbe Clik Valve can be inflated with conventional SV pumps. All you need is the pump head adapter, which can simply be plugged into your existing pump.

It's finally here: the long overdue development that makes inflation easier for everyone! The Schwalbe Clik Valve (SCV) is the revolution for bicycle valves and solves problems that have existed for over a century. In terms of usability, it sets completely new standards. Because with the Schwalbe Clik Valve, inflating the bicycle tire is now as simple as possible - with a click.

The Schwalbe Clik Valve can be operated with just one hand and is suitable for everyone: from the youngest adventurers to the most experienced cyclists. The principle of the Schwalbe Clik Valve, winner of the Eurobike Award 2024, is very simple: it works intuitively with a click. What does it need? The valve and the corresponding pump head or pump head adapter.

With the Clik Valve, this can be clicked onto the bike valve with minimal force and removed again very easily after successful inflation. It doesn't matter which valve and pump you currently have - thanks to conversion kits for all existing bicycle valves and most pumps. To change the bicycle valve, simply replace the valve insert (Sclaverand, Presta, Dunlop, tubeless valve). For the car valve, there is an adapter that is screwed over the valve and can be easily unscrewed again to be able to use petrol station pumps.

The pump head adapter can be integrated into the pump head of current pumps (by clamping or screwing in), even with hand pumps. The Schwalbe Clik Valve can also be inflated with normal SV (Presta) pumps - thanks to this reverse compatibility, you are never at a loss in any situation.

The Clik Valve is produced by the Italian specialist valve manufacturing company Record S.p.A. Schwalbe will soon be producing the first tubes with the Clik Valve. The complete system is new and revolutionizes the way bicycle tires are inflated. The valve insert and the pump head or the corresponding adapter together make inflation child's play.

The Schwalbe Clik Valve (SCV) makes inflating your bike tires child's play thanks to the intuitive Clik system. The pump head can be easily attached to and removed from the valve. The conversion kit contains the new pump head or pump head adapter as well as the Schwalbe Clik Valve and a newly designed dust cap.

On the valve: SV+DV (Presta): Simply unscrew the current valve insert (tool for SV is included) and screw in the Schwalbe Clik Valve by hand, and the valve is ready. AV (Car valve): The adapter for the Schwalbe Clik Valve can simply be screwed onto the car valve. On the pump: a) Simply integrate the adapter into the AV (car valve) pump head (clamp or screw in). The pump is then "Clik-ready". b) Replace the standard pump head with the Clik Valve pump head.
