Terms & Conditions — Online Orders

Giant Canning Vale, ABN 38 298 938 623

These terms apply to purchases made through our website. If you buy in-store, ask us for our in-store terms instead.

Your rights under Australian Consumer Law

Everything below is on top of — not instead of — your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL). Nothing in these terms limits those rights.

In plain terms: if a product is faulty, not as described, or doesn't do what it's meant to do, you're entitled to a repair, replacement, or refund. For serious problems, you can choose a refund or replacement, and claim compensation for other reasonably foreseeable losses. This isn't time-limited to 30 days — it lasts as long as is reasonable for the type of product.

Placing an order

  • You must be 18 or over to order.
  • We'll email you an Order Confirmation once we accept your order — that's when the contract is made.
  • You can change or cancel an order any time before it's shipped. After that, use our returns process below.
  • Prices are in AUD and include GST.

If something goes wrong on our end

Occasionally an item goes out of stock, a price is mis-listed, or we make a genuine, obvious error in an order. If that happens:

  • We'll contact you as soon as we can to sort it out — a substitute, a wait, or a cancellation.
  • If we can't reach you within 10 business days, we'll cancel and refund you in full.
  • If we do need to cancel an order because of a genuine pricing or listing error, you'll get a full refund straight away.

We won't cancel confirmed orders for trivial reasons — only for genuine, obvious errors or real stock issues.

Click & Collect

  • Bicycles are Click & Collect only. Other items can be too, if you choose.
  • We'll email you when your order's ready. Please collect within 7 business days — if that's not possible, just let us know and we'll arrange another time.
  • Bring your Order Confirmation email, photo ID, and the card you paid with. A signature's required for orders over $500.
  • If we don't hear from you within 14 business days of the ready-for-pickup email, we may cancel the order and refund you, minus any reasonable, genuine costs we've incurred (e.g. return shipping) — never a punitive fee.

Returns

If we got it wrong (wrong item, faulty, not as described): full refund, including any delivery charges, any time. No conditions on packaging or "unused" status apply — that's on us to fix.

If you've changed your mind: we'll refund the purchase price (not delivery/Click & Collect fees) if, within 30 days:

  • the item is unused, undamaged, and in its original packaging with tags attached, and
  • it's not marked as a sale item.

To start a return, fill in our Returns Form with your order number. For bikes, bring proof of purchase into store. We recommend sending returns via a trackable, insured service — we can't be responsible for items lost or damaged in transit.

Refunds go back to your original payment method. We inspect returns within 72 hours of receiving them; your bank may then take a few extra days to show the credit.

Warranties

For a manufacturer warranty claim, bring your item and Order Confirmation email into store. If a manufacturer warranty ever offers less than what the ACL guarantees you, the ACL wins — we'll always honour your consumer law rights first.

CADEX 5-Year Incident Replacement Program

CADEX wheels, handlebars, and saddles come with a standard 2-year warranty, plus an optional 5-year Incident Replacement Program (50% off a replacement if yours is damaged in an incident). Register within 8 weeks of purchase at cadex-cycling.com/au/registration. Conditions apply — see the registration page for details, or email cadex-support@giantbikes.com.au.

If you're not happy

If something's not resolved to your satisfaction, please contact us first at sales@giantcanningvale.com.au and we'll do our best to sort it out quickly. If you're still not satisfied, you can contact Consumer Protection WA or the ACCC for independent advice.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time — any changes will only apply to orders placed after the update, and we'll post the current version on this page with the date it was last updated. For any significant change, we'll flag it clearly on the site.
